The fact that the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce created this great course together with the John Moores University of Liverpool was what sold me on applying. The course itself was designed to meet full-time employees' needs and time constraints, and I liked hearing about all my course colleagues’ diverse professional backgrounds and having the opportunity to travel to the different ECBM locations for our weekend seminars. The ECBM Master was perfectly designed to help me develop my skill set and grow both personally and professionally.

Studying with ECBM gave me the opportunity to broaden my horizons by developing culturally as well as academically. Through my studies, I have acquired skills such as assertiveness, perseverance and time management that will undoubtedly help me in my career.

I was really impressed by the course’s ​​​​​​​flexible, hybrid approach to learning. ​​​​​​​The International Brand Management module was my favourite, with really interesting tasks and interactive lectures.

At the start of my ECBM journey, I completed a 2-week Professional Development Programme in London, after which I decided to continue with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. My Bachelor’s allowed me to strengthen my skills and also to have a higher professional level. After completing my Bachelor’s, I realised that for most higher level positions, companies ask for a Master’s Degree. With the support of my employer, I decided to continue my studies at ECBM with a Master’s in Business Administration to further develop my skill set. My advice for future students at ECBM would be to enjoy your time abroad, and make sure to maintain a good work-life balance to stay motivated during your studies. After completing my 10-year journey with ECBM, I now have the chance to work as an Export Manager at Wassermann Dental-maschinen GmbH in Hamburg.

I wanted to further my part-time education in English, study alongside a diverse cohort of students and complete a course that would be relevant to my work. The MBA programme was perfect for me as I could utilise my extensive work and leadership experience whilst learning fundamental theory, and exchange with fellow classmates to solve practical business cases.

I personally enjoyed working with so many teachers who are experts in their fields as they were able to link theory to practise and share personal insights into the real-world application of their subjects. The ECBM lecturers were approachable and super friendly, as well as open to new discussions that always kept the programme interesting.

I was looking for an English-language MBA part-time programme that I could study while working. With ECBM, I was able to develop my organisational, time management and decision-making skills, as well as broaden my horizons and deepen my academic approach to business. The lecturers also impressed me with their high level of professionalism and approach to both theoretical and practical teaching.

I pursued a Master's with ECBM at the recommendation of colleagues who had studied with the college before, as I was interested in investigating new theoretical approaches relevant to my daily work. Through reviving my love of lifelong learning, the course allowed me to improve my leadership skills and gain deep insights into business topics, with a blended learning structure that allowed me to study alongside my work.
