Determine your own future and take the first steps towards a life changing, internationally accredited MBA in Business Administration course.
The ECBM provides complete administration and tuition of the programme in full agreement with Liverpool Business School which awards the MBA degree (validated by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU).
Students complete the Strategic Diploma in Management and Leadership (DSM) in the first year of this MBA, covering the following units:
- Strategic Planning
- Strategic Change Management
- Developing Strategic Management and Leadership Skills
- Professional Development for Strategic Managers
- Managing Financial Principles and Techniques
- Strategic Quality and Systems Management
- Strategic Marketing Management
In the second year of this MBA students choose 2 out of 4 options* to customise the programme content according to their professional needs and interests. The choices are:
- Research Methods for Managers
- Integrated Marketing Communications*
- Managing Human Resource Strategy*
- Global Corporate Finance and Governance*
- Ethics for Business*
In addition to taught modules students need to submit a dissertation (20,000 words). The dissertation gives students the opportunity of undertaking a significant piece of independent research which applies appropriate business management and academic research concepts to investigate a significant organisational issue or problem.
The unique mix of different learning styles, called Blended Learning, is a modern form of teaching that combines e-learning, self-study and intensive in-class teaching seminars, aimed at professionals with limited time. The block seminars are learning opportunities that use case studies, group interaction and discussions.
Students are expected to actively participate in the seminars and therefore must complete the directed reading instruction from tutors, given in the preparation phase, to engage with the module content before coming to a session.
As a student on the programme you will have access to our student platform at any place and time. Even when you are away on a business trip you can access the teaching material, get in touch with tutors as well as your fellow students about group work and study questions. In addition to the teaching material, supplied via our student platform prior to any teaching session, every participant receives access to electronic journal services with a broad range of relevant literature.
During the teaching seminars you will use the tutor input to work on case studies and you are encouraged to also use current projects from your company to discuss with your fellow students. Sharing knowledge and experience with your fellow students from different professional backgrounds is a very valuable experience of the MBA programme. It helps you broaden your personal perspective and to build up your network.
The entry requirements for this practical orientated postgraduate degree are very flexible. Candidates should meet any of the following requirements:
- 3-5 years of managerial work experience (on average)
- or a business based education (e.g. 'Betriebswirt' or equivalent)
- or a Bachelor or Master degree in any field
A good level of proficiency in the English language is required as the entire programme is delivered in English.
If you have any questions about the entry requirements email us.
